RGPD: SatisFactory commits to its customers

With less than a month to go until the RGPD (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into force, SatisFactory is all set!
RGPD: on your marks...
As a supplier of a Feedback Management solution that involves collecting the voice of the customer on an ongoing basis, we are directly concerned by the new European regulations. In fact, the RGPD provides, unlike the French Data Protection Act, that the subcontractor, in the same way as the client company, is responsible for data processing. In short, responsibilities are shared.
SatisFactory is committed
That's why at SatisFactory, we've made sure that our solution can perfectly meet the requirements of the new regulations. Processing tools must now incorporate RGPD principles ("privacy by design") right from the design stage. privacy by design") and limit "privacy by default" processing as far as possible. privacy by default (purposes, retention period, data collected, access to data, etc.).
The CNIL has already proposed a non-exhaustive list of illustrations of these new principles:
- allow the data controller to set default and minimum parameters for data collection. And not to make it technically compulsory to fill in an optional field;
- collect only data that is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed (data minimization principle);
- automatically and selectively purge data from an active database after a certain period of time;
- set up computer access rights and authorizations on a data-by-data basis, or at the request of the people concerned.
Conclusion
Despite much stronger constraints, the RGPD represents an opportunity for SatisFactory as well as its customers. We are showing that we take the new law and the protection of personal data seriously. As joint data controllers, we are committed to supporting our customers in this new legal framework and providing them with any necessary advice.
